Certified Sustainable Procurement Manager – Weiterbildung – procure.ch

Certified Sustainable Procurement Manager English and online

with procure.ch certificate

This course is part of the TWIN-PRO Accelerator Programme

Sustainability has long been an integral part of the economic and social debate. Both, consumers and other stakeholders are calling for a stronger commitment to the circular economy as well as to sustainable raw materials and recycling concepts. Sustainability is becoming a strategic competitive advantage for companies and purchasing is taking on a special key role for global sustainable development. But what does sustainability mean in purchasing? A rethink is called for!

«If you want to procure sustainably, this is the right course for you. No existing containers are filled anew, but new containers are created with a rethinking process. This also includes the concept of circular economy, an approach with a great impact on the thinking and actions of a procurer and the entire company.»

Antonia Stalder, Learning coach for circular economy

Training objective

This course offers a holistic and practice-oriented approach to the fields of action and opportunities for purchasing to systematically integrate the topic of sustainability into its strategies and practices. The five-day course provides practical knowledge and skills for a professional analysis and (further) development of purchasing - towards a sustainable purchasing organisation. Case studies, exercises and checklists combined with selected practical examples and time for discussion and individual questions provide participants with concrete guidance and implementation tools for their own organisation and its processes. As a participant, you will be empowered to take on this task and develop initial approaches to solutions for your company.

Target group

Purchasing managers, supply chain managers, procurement officers, strategic buyers, quality managers, environmental managers, sustainability managers from various industries/sectors who want to integrate sustainability criteria into their purchasing processes and professionalise material group and supplier management.

  • The presentation of practical examples and accompanying video material convey the training material in a lively and vivid way.

Participants learn how to use concrete tools for finding solutions in sustainable everyday purchasing. This ensures a high level of practical relevance and benefit.

  • The team approach enhances individual creativity and promotes innovative, convincing solution finding.
  • Through the "gamification" training approach, participants become familiar with the new possibilities and solutions for systematically introducing sustainability approaches in their own purchasing in a quasi-playful way. This also promotes the idea of competition and encourages innovative and convincing team performances.
  • The individual "use case" as part of the final acceptance and awarding of the certificate creates a high level of practical relevance to the respective individual company and purchasing environment and forms an ideal platform for the participants' own sustainable purchasing projects.
